ADAS Electronic Control Unit

The desire to pave the way for higher levels of autonomy inherently requires faster, more accurate sensors and the ability to process the delivered data in real time. Applications such as VRU (Vulnerable Road Users) protection, lane support, rear and side collision avoidance, AES (Automatic Emergency Steering) and automated parking demand processing multiple video feeds and even a 360-degree view of the vehicle.

The Hailo AI processor was designed for scalability and can support the demanding deep learning workloads that ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) require. One small, low-power chip is able to process multiple video streams and multiple chips can work in tandem or cascade, all while maintaining industry-leading efficiency and scalability, high processing throughput and low latency. The solution’s flexibility allows the use of different types of camera inputs, ranging in resolution and input size. These outstanding capabilities make the Hailo-8 a market-leading AI processor for ADAS ECUs.

The Hailo-8 is an AEC-Q100 grade 2 Automotive AI processor, which has been developed in accordance with ISO26262 guidelines to be ASIL-B compliant.
