This demo showcases an Elo POS system empowered by the Hailo-8 AI accelerator, running UltronAI’s Retail CV Product-ID software to enable real-time, camera-based checkout. The system accurately identifies and matches over 250,000 SKUs at 45 FPS, even as products move quickly across the counter, delivering a seamless and reliable checkout experience. Leveraging Hailo-8’s high-performance, low-power architecture, capable of 26 TOPS with fully integrated memory for efficient edge processing, the solution runs entirely on-device, eliminating the need for cloud processing while ensuring low latency, scalability, and privacy. This demonstrates how Hailo enables existing retail systems to become intelligent, autonomous platforms that understand and respond to real-world environments in real time.
