Hailo wartet gleich mit mehreren Innovationen auf, die auf den grundlegenden Eigenschaften neuronaler Netze beruhen:
- Das innovative Steuerungskonzept basiert auf einer Kombination aus Hard- und Software. Es benötigt pro Befehl nur sehr wenig Energie (Joules/Operation) und ist sehr flexibel

Der Hailo Dataflow-Compiler erhält das Benutzermodell als Eingabe. Die Darstellung dient lediglich als Illustration, die Toolchain ist nicht an eine bestimmte Netzwerkarchitektur oder Netzwerktiefe gebunden.
Während des Build-Flows zerlegt der Hailo Dataflow Compiler jede Netzwerkschicht in die erforderlichen Rechenelemente und erzeugt einen Ressourcengraph, der das Zielnetzwerk darstellt.
Der Hailo Dataflow Compiler adaptiert dann den Ressourcengraphen des Zielnetzwerks an die physischen Ressourcen auf dem Chip und erzeugt einen angepassten Datenweg für das Zielnetzwerk.
