This demo showcases AI-powered free-text video search running CLIP zero-shot classification entirely on the edge, enabling users to search recorded footage using natural language instead of predefined attributes. All indexing and matching are performed on-device running on the Hailo-15 AI processor. Unlike commonly used workflows that rely on fixed taxonomies and databases such as “person,” “vehicle,” or “color,” this solution removes rigid attribute boundaries and allows operators to describe exactly what they are looking for in their own words. Whether searching for “person with red backpack near entrance” or “white van parked at night,” the system understands the semantic meaning of the query and retrieves the most relevant moments from video history.
